Designer chair

Decoupage is such an easy way to transform a piece of furniture, and you don’t need any artistic skill…it’s literally cutting and sticking.

I bought this  chair for a fiver a while ago from Emmaus with the intention of trying out this craftform on it. I found a book in the same charity shop that was full of examples of graphic designers’ work. Perfect ! All I did was chose my favourite images, cut them out and glue them onto the chair. Some images are butted up, others are overlayed on top of others.

Once happy with the images I applied several coats of varnish…that’s the dull but necessary part of any decoupage project. I’m very pleased with the finished results.
